Fresh Box CEO Ihab Mansour recently spoke with FreshPlaza about the outlook for Egypt’s strawberry sector following a challenging 2025\/2026 season, as well as Fresh Box’s plans for the season ahead.<\/strong><\/p>

Looking Beyond Supply<\/h3>

In the interview, Mansour explained that while Egypt experienced a large strawberry crop during the previous campaign, supply was only part of the challenge. He also pointed to extended domestic strawberry seasons in several European producing countries, which affected demand conditions for Egyptian exports.<\/p>

Expanding Frozen Strawberry Capabilities<\/h3>

The interview also highlighted Fresh Box\u2019s planned IQF processing plant, which will surely increase the company\u2019s processing capacity as it develops its fresh and frozen strawberry business.<\/p>
